FAQ

How much is in a CSA share? Quantity depends on the season and growing conditions, but shares are generally geared toward singles and couples. Each box contains between 7-11 different types of vegetables and herbs.

What if I’m out of town or can’t pick up a share? If you aren’t available to get your share let me know ahead of time and we can talk about options. That share can be donated, picked up by a different person or on a different day, or possibly refunded.

Can I come out to the farm? Yes! Maybe! Depends! This is something that I’ve waffled about a lot. Because the farm was founded just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit us all, there has been a lot of back and forth about gathering people together. It is my goal to try and schedule a farm tour at some point this season so that any interested members can come out and get a little more personal with their food.

Why is my vegetable so small? This could be due to a lot of factors, but the short answer is farming is risky and hardly ever perfect! Weather, pests, diseases, and access to irrigation can all have unintended effects on how things grow. Part of participating in a CSA means accepting the risks that come with growing food without pesticides/herbicides and embracing food that is not as “perfect” looking as what gets sold in a grocery store.
